Across the borough of Stockport hundreds of community groups and voluntary organisations work hard to improve the quality of life for local people. Thousands of volunteers give of their time, energy, ingenuity and good humour making a big positive difference where it really matters.

Based in the centre of Stockport, our aim is to gather and supply information both from and to the sector, offer training, volunteering information, provide funding advice and signpost your organisation to the opportunities that are right for you.

Our five overall priorities:

The staff of Anchorpoint Stockport, Advisory Board members and service providers work in alignment with the core values of:

• Community/Supportive -  creating a cooperative group of peers with shared values who provide support and enhance one another
• Growth -  being creative to enable groups and organisations to change and grow in the ways that are right for them
• Achievement -  accomplishing something noteworthy and admirable in our work that benefits local people in Stockport

CRB Checks

Please ring this number, 0161 832 0934 for CRB checks. Anchorpoint Stockport will pay the administration fees for CRB checks for volunteers (but not staff).
